David A Adler
David A. Adler is an American children's author born in New York City who has written over 200 books across multiple genres including fiction series, picture book biographies, and nonfiction works on math, science, and history.[1][2] A former mathematics teacher, he is best known for creating the Cam Jansen mystery series in 1977 and has received numerous awards including the 2016 Theodor Seuss Geisel Medal and the 2017 Regina Medal.[1][4] His prolific career spans fiction and nonfiction, with particular expertise in biographies of historical figures and books on Jewish themes and the Holocaust.[3][6]
