Dav Pilkey

Dav Pilkey, born David Murray Pilkey Jr. on March 4, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio, is an American author, illustrator, and cartoonist best known for the Captain Underpants series and its spin-off Dog Man graphic novels.[1][3][4] Diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia as a child, he created his early comics while sitting in the hallway during class, leading to bestselling children's books that have sold millions worldwide.[3][6] His work, including the Caldecott Honor book The Paperboy, has been translated into over 40 languages.[4][5]
