Darrell Arnold

Darrell Arnold is a Western American author, poet, and journalist who graduated from Colorado State University in 1969 with a degree in Wildlife Biology, served in the U.S. Air Force as a medic until 1973, and pursued a Master's in Western American history while working as a guide and outfitter. He worked as a feature writer for the Texas Longhorn Journal, associate editor at Western Horseman Magazine, and founded and edited Cowboy Magazine for 17.5 years until 2008. His poetry collections include Cowboy Poultry Gatherin' (1993) and A Bard In Boots (2022), the latter earning the 2023 Will Rogers Gold Medallion Award, and he collaborated on the award-winning poem/song 'Never Cuss The Rain.'
