Daniel Pinkwater
Daniel Manus Pinkwater is an American author of children's books and young adult fiction, best known for works like Lizard Music, The Snarkout Boys and the Avocado of Death, and The Big Orange Splot. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1941, he has written over 80 books, often blending humor, fantasy, and science fiction elements, and was a regular commentator on National Public Radio. He studied at Bard College and has lived in various places, including Hoboken, New Jersey.
