Dan Vyleta
Dan Vyleta is a German-Canadian writer and historian born to Czech emigré parents, known for his critically acclaimed novels including 'Smoke', 'Pavel & I', 'The Quiet Twin', and 'The Crooked Maid'. He holds a Ph.D. in history from King's College, Cambridge, and is recognized as an inveterate migrant who has lived in Germany, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. His works have been translated into multiple languages and have garnered international awards, including the J.I. Segal Award and finalist positions for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize.
