Dan Guillory

Dan Guillory is an American author born in 1944 who grew up in the bayou country of southern Louisiana in a bilingual French-English family.[1][3] He earned a Ph.D. in modern American poetry from Tulane University in 1972 and taught English at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, from 1972 to 2004, becoming Professor Emeritus upon early retirement to focus on writing.[1][3] His works include essays like 'Living with Lincoln,' poetry collections such as 'The Alligator Inventions' and 'The Lincoln Poems,' and a novel 'Introduction to the Lemon Jelly Cake.'[1][3][6]
