Dan Chiasson

Dan Chiasson is an American poet, critic, and professor born in Burlington, Vermont, and educated at Amherst College and Harvard University. He is the author of numerous poetry collections including The Afterlife of Objects (2002), Natural History (2005), Bicentennial (2014), and The Math Campers (2020), as well as the critical work One Kind of Everything (2007). He serves as the Lorraine Chao Wang Professor of English at Wellesley College, contributes regularly to The New Yorker and The New York Review of Books, and has received awards such as the Whiting Writers' Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
