Dan Ariely
Dan Ariely is an Israeli-American author, professor of psychology and behavioral economics at Duke University, and founding member of the Center for Advanced Hindsight, renowned for his research on irrational human behavior and decision-making.[1][3][4] His interest in behavioral economics began after suffering severe burns over 70% of his body at age 18 while serving in the Israeli army, which inspired studies on pain management and broader irrational choices.[2][8] He has authored New York Times bestsellers like Predictably Irrational, The Upside of Irrationality, and The Honest Truth about Dishonesty, and co-founded companies applying behavioral insights.[1][5]
