D. L. Hatton is a retired minister and nurse who served for 28 years as a pastor to seniors in a Sacramento retirement village before retiring in 2023 due to health reasons. He holds a BA in Bible from Maranatha Baptist Bible College and an MA in Cross-Cultural Studies from New College Berkeley, and his hobbies include writing and art.
