D. D. Lawrance
D.H. Lawrence (1885-1930) was an English novelist, poet, essayist, and painter who became one of the most influential writers of the 20th century. His major works include Sons and Lovers, The Rainbow, Women in Love, and Lady Chatterley's Lover, which challenged conventional English fiction through their exploration of sexuality, class barriers, and the dehumanizing effects of industrialization. Despite his literary significance, Lawrence faced persistent censorship and persecution throughout his life, and died from tuberculosis complications at age 44.
