Correlli Barnett

Correlli Barnett (1927-2022) was a British revisionist historian and author specializing in military history, known for works like The Desert Generals (1960), The Swordbearers (1963), and The Audit of War (1986), as well as his contributions to BBC series such as The Great War.[1][2][3] Educated at Trinity School, Croydon, and Exeter College, Oxford, he served in the Intelligence Corps during National Service (1945-1948) and later became Keeper of the Churchill Archives Centre (1977-1995).[1][3] He was President of the Western Front Association (1998-2011) and received awards including the Cheney Gold Medal in 1991.[1][2]
