Colonel G B Malleson

Colonel George Bruce Malleson (1825–1898) was an English officer in India and a prolific author known for his detailed works on British Indian colonial history, including the History of the Indian Mutiny and The Decisive Battles of India. Educated at Winchester, he served in the Bengal infantry from 1842, participated in the Second Burmese War, and held various civil appointments before retiring as a colonel in 1877.
