Cole Swensen

Cole Swensen is an American poet, translator, editor, and professor born in 1955 in Kentfield, California. She is the author of numerous poetry collections and has won prestigious awards including a 2006 Guggenheim Fellowship, the Iowa Poetry Prize, and the PEN USA Award in Literary Translation. She has taught at the University of Denver, Iowa Writers' Workshop, and Brown University, and divides her time between Paris and Providence, Rhode Island.
