Cletus Kurtzman

Cletus P. Kurtzman (1938–2017) was an American mycologist and a leading authority on yeast taxonomy, widely regarded as the father of modern yeast taxonomy. He pioneered molecular biology techniques to identify and classify yeasts and other microorganisms of agricultural, biotechnological, scientific, and medical importance.
