Claire Keegan
Claire Keegan is an acclaimed Irish writer born in 1968, raised on a farm in County Wicklow as the youngest of six children in a large Catholic family.[1][3][4] She studied Literature and Politics at Loyola University in New Orleans, earned an MA at the University of Wales, and an M.Phil. at Trinity College Dublin, with her debut collection Antarctica winning the Los Angeles Times Book of the Year and the Rooney Prize.[2][3] Known for short stories published in The New Yorker and Granta, and novellas like Small Things Like These shortlisted for the Booker Prize, she has received numerous awards including Woman of the Year for Literature in Ireland (2022).[1][5][6]
