Claire Freedman

Claire Freedman is a British children's author born in England, who discovered her talent for writing picture books while attending a local writing group and now has over 100 books published, primarily for ages 0-8.[1][2][4] She previously worked at Harrods and the BBC before becoming a full-time writer, with her debut books including *Where's Your Smile, Crocodile?* and *An Ark Full of Activities* in 2001, and she won the Richard & Judy Book Club Award in 2007 for *Aliens Love Underpants!*, the first in her bestselling series.[1][2] She lives on the Essex coast near Southend-on-Sea, enjoys sailing and walking, and her works often feature fun, silly themes inspired by creativity and nature.[5][7]
