Cicero

Marcus Tullius Cicero (106–43 BCE) was a Roman statesman, lawyer, philosopher, and one of the greatest orators in Latin literature. He wrote influential works on rhetoric, politics, and philosophy while trying to defend the Roman Republic during its final civil conflicts. He was ultimately killed during the proscriptions of the Second Triumvirate.
