Christopher Denise

Christopher Denise is an award-winning children's book illustrator and author, born in Massachusetts and raised in Ireland, who attended the Rhode Island School of Design. His debut book, The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship, was praised as a stunning debut, and he has since illustrated over twenty books including works for Brian Jacques’ Redwall series and his wife Anika Denise’s titles, with his author-illustrator debut Knight Owl earning a Caldecott Honor in 2022. He lives in Rhode Island with his family and teaches illustration at institutions like RISD.
