Christine Angot

Christine Angot is a French novelist, playwright, and screenwriter born in 1959 who became a literary star following the 1999 publication of her controversial novel Incest, which drew from her personal experiences with childhood sexual abuse. Known for pushing societal boundaries and exploring taboo subjects through autofiction, she has received numerous literary awards including the Prix Médicis in 2021 and has collaborated with director Claire Denis on films including Let the Sunshine In (2017) and Both Sides of the Blade (2022).
