Christian Reid

Christian Reid was the pen name of Frances Christine Fisher Tiernan (1846–1920), an American novelist known for popular light romances. Born in Salisbury, North Carolina, she wrote more than 40 books, and her best-known work is The Land of the Sky (1876), which helped popularize the name for western North Carolina.
