Christian Jacq

Christian Jacq is a French author and Egyptologist born in Paris on April 28, 1947, known for his popular novels set in ancient Egypt, including the five-book Ramsès series about Pharaoh Ramses II[1][2]. He holds a doctorate in Egyptian Studies from the Sorbonne and has written over fifty books, including non-fiction works on Egyptology[1][3]. Jacq currently resides in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded the Institut Ramsès to document threatened ancient Egyptian archaeological sites[3][5].
