Chris Knopf is an acclaimed mystery and thriller author known for series featuring protagonists like Sam Acquillo, Jackie Swaitkowski, and Arthur Cathcart, with works including The Last Refuge, Head Wounds (Benjamin Franklin Award winner), and Cop Job. Previously a copywriter, house designer, cabinetmaker, and principal at Mintz & Hoke Communications, he also wrote for film and television and served as Writers Guild of America President from 1965-1967. A native of Philadelphia, he lives with his wife Mary in Avon, Connecticut, and Southampton, New York.
