Chris Claremont
Chris Claremont is an American comic book writer and novelist best known for his 16-17 year run on Marvel's Uncanny X-Men from 1975 to 1991, where he transformed the series into the world's best-selling comic by developing strong female characters, complex themes, and iconic stories like The Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past.[1][2][3] He created characters such as Rogue, Gambit, Kitty Pryde, and Mystique, and has also written for Batman, Superman, and authored nine novels as a New York Times best-selling author.[3][4] Claremont has received numerous awards, including the Will Eisner Hall of Fame induction and international lifetime achievements.[3][4]
