Chief James Wallas

Chief James Wallas was a Kwakiutl chief from Bear Cove near Port Hardy, British Columbia, also known as J.J. or Jimmy Jumbo. He was born on March 15, 1907, and is noted for being the son of a Quatsino tribe member and for sharing Indigenous oral traditions with Pamela Whitaker in *Kwakiutl Legends*.
