Chet Raymo
Chet Raymo (1936–2026) was an American writer, educator, and naturalist, best known for his books blending science, nature, and fiction, including the novel *The Dork of Cork*, adapted into the film *Frankie Starlight*. He served as Professor Emeritus of Physics at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, after nearly four decades of teaching, and wrote the weekly 'Science Musings' column for the *Boston Globe* from 1983 to 2003. Raymo received the 1998 Lannan Literary Award for his nonfiction and was widely anthologized in works like the *Norton Book of Nature Writing*.[1][3][6]
