Cherie Priest
Cherie Priest is an acclaimed American author known for her Southern Gothic Eden Moore series, beginning with *Four and Twenty Blackbirds* (2003), and the steampunk Clockwork Century series, starting with the award-winning *Boneshaker* (2009), which earned Hugo and Nebula nominations along with a Locus Award.[2][3][5] She holds a B.A. from Southern Adventist University (1998) and an M.A. in rhetoric from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2002), and has published over two dozen novels and novellas across genres like horror, steampunk, and gothic fiction.[1][3][8] Priest currently resides in Seattle, Washington, with her husband and pets.[3][5][8]
