Chengqi Zhang
Chengqi Zhang is a distinguished professor of artificial intelligence and former deputy vice-chancellor of the University of Technology Sydney, who in September 2024 became Chair Professor of AI at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Director of its Shenzhen Research Institute. He is a leading scholar in data mining and AI, with extensive contributions to the ICDM conference and the field of machine learning. His career spans decades in Australia before returning to China to advance AI research and education.
