Charlotte Perkins Gilman

Charlotte Perkins Gilman was an American sociologist, novelist, short story writer, and activist. She is best known for her semi-autobiographical short story "The Yellow Wallpaper," which critiques the "rest cure" prescribed for women suffering from mental health issues in the late 19th century.
