Charles Reginald Shrader
Charles Reginald 'Reg' Shrader was an American military historian born in 1943, who served 23 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after tours in Vietnam, Germany, and roles as an instructor at West Point and other institutions.[1][2] He earned degrees from Vanderbilt and Columbia University, then worked as an independent researcher, authoring books on military history including operations research and the Muslim-Croat Civil War.[2][3][4] Shrader passed away in 2018 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he was active in community service and his Catholic church.[2]
