Charles Bell
Sir Charles Bell (1774–1842) was a distinguished Scottish anatomist, physiologist, neurologist, and surgeon who made groundbreaking contributions to medicine, including the discovery of the difference between sensory and motor nerves and the description of Bell's palsy. He was also a prolific medical writer, skilled artist, and philosophical theologian whose work earned him recognition as a pioneer in neurology. His influential book 'New Idea of Anatomy of the Brain' has been called the 'Magna Carta of neurology.'
