Charles A. Reeves

Charles Reeves, also known as Samuel Isaacs, was a Jewish actor and founding member of the Whitechapel Vigilance Committee during the Jack the Ripper murders in 1888. He was among the first to examine the infamous 'From Hell' letter and kidney received by George Lusk on October 17, 1888, and accompanied Lusk the next day for further analysis. His daughter Ada Reeves became a renowned actress, supporting the family even as a child performer.[1]
