C.S. Lewis (Clive Staples Lewis) was an Irish-born British author, scholar, and Christian apologist best known for his fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia and works like Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters. He taught English literature at Oxford University from 1925 to 1954 and at Cambridge from 1954 to 1963, producing around 40 books on Christian themes, fiction, and literary criticism. Originally an atheist, he converted to Christianity and became a prominent defender of the faith using logic and philosophy.
