Catherine Stock
Catherine Stock, born November 26, 1952, in Stockholm, Sweden, to a diplomat father and artist mother, grew up traveling globally and studied art at the University of Cape Town, University of London, and Pratt Institute. She worked as an art director for publishers like G.P. Putnam, Clarion, and Atheneum before becoming a full-time author and illustrator of acclaimed children's picture books, including award-winners like Posy and Justin and the Best Biscuits in the World. Now living in southwest France, her works have been praised by The New York Times and others for their lively illustrations and cultural detail.
