Catherine Newman

Catherine Newman is a New York Times bestselling author born in 1968 who has written novels including *Sandwich* (2024) and *Wreck* (2025), as well as memoirs and children's books.[1][2] She holds a Ph.D. in Literature from UC Santa Cruz and currently works as a part-time academic coordinator for the creative writing program at Amherst College, where she also lives.[3][4]
