Catherine Mumford Booth

Catherine Mumford Booth (1829–1890) was a British Christian preacher, writer, and social reformer best known as the co-founder of The Salvation Army with her husband, William Booth. She was a powerful advocate for women’s preaching and Christian social work, and is remembered as “The Army Mother.”
