Catherine Coulter, born Jean Catherine Coulter Pogany on December 26, 1942, in Cameron County, Texas, is a prolific #1 New York Times bestselling author of over 90 novels. She began her career writing historical romances set in periods like Regency England and Viking times before transitioning to suspense thrillers, launching her popular FBI Thriller series with The Cove in 1996. She co-authors the Brit in the FBI series with J.T. Ellison and lives in Marin County, California.
