Carrie Weston

Carrie Weston is a British author of children's books, including titles like *Lucky Socks*, *Moonlight Lily*, and *If a Chicken Stayed for Supper*, with a background in education as a teacher in inner-city schools, educational psychologist, and now lecturer in children's literature at the University of East London. She began writing for children with *Lucky Socks* in 2001 after completing her PhD. Born in a village in Kent, England, she has two children and enjoys writing, studying, skiing, and surfing.
