Carrie Brown
Carrie Brown (born May 29, 1959) is an American novelist and professor known for her seven novels and a collection of short stories, including The Stargazer's Sister and Rose's Garden. A graduate of Brown University and the University of Virginia's MFA program, she has received numerous awards such as the National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize, and the Library of Virginia Award (twice). She has taught at institutions like Sweet Briar College and lives with her husband, novelist John Gregory Brown.
