Carole Boston Weatherford
Carole Boston Weatherford is an American author, poet, and critic known for more than 50 children's books, especially works of nonfiction, poetry, biography, and historical fiction. Her writing often explores African American history and culture, and she has received major honors including the Coretta Scott King Award and the Children's Literature Legacy Award.[1][2][5]
