Carol Tavris is an American social psychologist, author, and critic known for her work on cognitive dissonance, gender roles, and the psychology of women. She has written several influential books, including 'The Mismeasure of Woman' and 'Mistakes Were Made (But Not by Me)' (co-authored with Elliot Aronson).
