Carol Matas

Carol Matas is a Canadian author born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, known for writing over 45 books for children and young adults, including science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, and contemporary stories often exploring Jewish themes and the Holocaust. Her notable works such as Daniel's Story, Lisa's War, and After the War have earned numerous awards, including Governor General nominations, New York Times Best Book of the Year, and Sydney Taylor Awards. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Western Ontario and trained at the Actor's Lab in London.
