Carmen Agra (RTL) Deedy

Carmen Agra Deedy is an award-winning author of children's books and an internationally known storyteller who grew up as a Cuban refugee in Decatur, Georgia, after fleeing Havana during the Cuban Revolution. Her notable works include the New York Times bestseller 14 Cows for America, Martina the Beautiful Cockroach, and her NPR stories collected in Growing Up Cuban in Decatur, Georgia. She hosts the Emmy-winning children's program Love That Book! and has spoken at prestigious venues like the Library of Congress and TED conferences.
