Carmelo Piazza ,

Carmelo Piazza, known as Carmelo the Science Fellow, is an educator who taught science in Brooklyn public schools for 16-17 years before founding the Brooklyn Preschool of Science in 2013, along with his wife Karen, emphasizing hands-on STEM learning for young children. He authored the book 'Crazy for Science with Carmelo the Science Fellow,' hosts a YouTube series of experiments, and launched Science Party Animals for STEM birthday parties. A native Brooklynite living in Bay Ridge with four children, he holds a master’s degree in Elementary Science and Environmental Education from Brooklyn College.
