Carlos Drummond de Andrade ,
Carlos Drummond de Andrade was a celebrated Brazilian poet and writer, widely regarded as the most influential poet of 20th-century Brazil and a key figure in the second generation of Brazilian Modernism. Born in Itabira, Minas Gerais, he spent most of his life in Rio de Janeiro, where he worked as a civil servant in the Ministry of Education while publishing over a dozen poetry collections and numerous chronicles. His work, characterized by its formal freedom and universal themes drawn from everyday life, includes masterpieces such as 'Sentimento do Mundo' and 'A Rosa do Povo'.
