Carl Goldmark

Carl Goldmark was an Austro-Hungarian composer known for his popular opera *Die Königin von Saba* (*The Queen of Sheba*) and for works such as the overture *Sakuntala*. He became a leading musical figure in Vienna and composed in many standard genres, often with a Wagner-influenced style and occasional Hungarian color.
