Candace R. M. Gorham

Candace R. M. Gorham is a licensed professional counselor, former ordained minister in the Black Church, and atheist-humanist activist born in North Carolina. She authored 'The Ebony Exodus Project' (2013), a memoir, analysis, and oral history advocating for Black Americans, particularly women, to leave Christianity due to its perceived harms. With degrees in Secondary English Education from North Carolina Central University and a Master's in mental health counseling, she writes and speaks on race, religion, and mental health issues.
