Cammie McGovern
Cammie McGovern is an American author known for her novels featuring young people with disabilities, including adult titles like Eye Contact and Neighborhood, young adult books such as Say What You Will and A Step Toward Falling, and middle-grade works like Just My Luck and Chester and Gus. She is a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, Nelson Algren Award winner for short fiction, and co-founder of Whole Children/Milestones, a resource center for children with disabilities in Massachusetts. McGovern lives in Amherst, Massachusetts, with her husband and three sons, one of whom is autistic, which informs her writing on special needs.
