Calvert Watkins

Calvert Watkins was an American linguist and philologist best known for his work in Indo-European studies and for the book *How to Kill a Dragon: Aspects of Indo-European Poetics*. He served as a professor at Harvard University and later as professor-in-residence at UCLA, where he continued his scholarly work after retirement.
