C H Spurgeon
Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was an influential English Particular Baptist preacher known as the 'Prince of Preachers,' who pastored the New Park Street Chapel (later Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years, drawing massive crowds with his doctrinally rich sermons. Converted at 16 without formal theological training, he founded Spurgeon's College, numerous ministries including orphanages, and opposed liberal theology, resigning from the Baptist Union in protest. His prolific writings and publications continue to impact Christians worldwide.
