Buzz Aldrin
Buzz Aldrin is an American former astronaut, aeronautical engineer, and fighter pilot best known as the second person to walk on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in July 1969. He earned a doctorate in astronautics from MIT and was the first astronaut with a doctoral degree. Before his historic lunar landing, Aldrin flew 66 combat missions during the Korean War and established a spacewalking record during the Gemini 12 mission in 1966.
